Award for Engineering Researcher
Dr Simon Leigh, a post-doctorate researcher in the School of Engineering, has won a Silver award at a special House of Commons Competition to showcase the UK's thriving science and engineering base
CSC Postgraduate prize for Engineering Student
Mr Salvatore Cosseddu, an Engineering PhD student has been awarded the CSC Postgraduate Prize for presenting an outstanding Talk at the Centre for Scientific Computing Postgraduate Research Day.
The IPT breakfast on UK energy on 18 January was hosted in the House of Commons by Lord Oxburgh KBE. The discussion focussed on the question of how to encourage the investment to upgrade the UK’s energy infrastructure whilst decarbonising the economy and doing it at a price that end-users are willing or able to pay.
The New Andrew Little Series focuses this term on Biomedical Engineering, following a successful Autumn 2011 series on Energy.
