Pop Up Christmas Cards

How can a flat sheet of paper become a festive 3D surprise?

Your children or students can discover the magic behind pop-up cards and learn how folds, tabs and clever design can transform a simple sheet of paper into an exciting three-dimensional creation. They'll design and build their own festive pop-up cards to share with friends and family while exploring the principles of paper engineering.

To support our Christmas Boxes, please let us know what you thought of these resources. Your feedback is very valuable in helping us improve our activities and secure the funding to design and print them each year.

Printable templates

Below you can find all the individual resources available in our boxes. You can print off these templates and use them as described in the lesson plan. Alternatively, here are collated files for if you would like all the templates in one document.

For a class of 30 students we recommend having 30 blank templates, 30 decorated templates, and instructions to share around the room as well. You may need around 5 copies of the instructions document to give everyone their own copy for their template.

Please do remember to print these single sided!
